She obtained her law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2023, and completed her Bachelor of Arts from Dickinson College in Pennsylvania, USA, where she majored in philosophy. In September 2023, Kaveri began her articles at a boutique immigration and refugee law firm, where she gained valuable insight into the unique nature of a Legal Aid practice and represented clients at the Refugee Protection Division as well as the Refugee Appeal Division.
Prior to joining AKM Law, Kaveri was a lawyer at an established immigration and refugee law firm, and is dedicated to guiding clients through the complexities of Canada’s immigration system with professionalism, empathy, and care, and advocates for her clients every step of the way. She has expertise in a wide range of immigration matters, including refugee claims, temporary resident applications, sponsorships, criminal inadmissibility issues, and appeals.
During law school, she gained valuable experience as a caseworker at Parkdale Community Legal Services' immigration division, where she assisted individuals and families from diverse and often vulnerable communities with spousal sponsorships and humanitarian and compassionate applications. Kaveri’s personal experience with moving across borders has given her a deep understanding of the challenges clients face when navigating the nuances of Canadian immigration law, and she is committed to leaving no stone unturned in seeking favorable outcomes for her clients. This, combined with her academic background and hands-on experience, allows her to offer practical, results-driven solutions that address each client’s unique circumstance, and she is committed to providing thoughtful, responsible, and careful legal advice and representation.
